CHURCH ART AND DESIGN

 The liturgical consultant, or architect, provides services to the parish including assisting during the selection of artists and artisans. When they suggest an artist or artisan, certain criteria will be used to establish their worthiness.

These criteria may include:

  • The size of the firm/studio/workshop.
  • Ability to manage and execute the project in house.
  • Length of experience in their area of expertise.
  • Have they executed this type of work before?
  • Can they produce sufficient references?
  • Do they exhibit creativity?
  • Technical knowledge.
  • Staff of artists/artisans.
  • Artistic style of work – does their styles fit with the parishes needs?
  • Ability to work within budget.
  • Ability to work within design parameters.
  • Ability to work with other trades or artisans.
  • Ability to commit to the project, on a professional level, responsive to the needs of the parish.
  • Ability to be on-time.

We have a large studio in Omaha that is fully and technically equipped to design, fabricate and manage furnishings projects for today’s church. Our staff of designers (JOSEPH ZAKY, ART VENTEICHER, AND GERARD VENTEICHER) offers over 100+ years of collective experience in collaborating, designing, engineering, fabricating, and installing projects over the past 35 years. Previous art and furnishings projects include installations in Cathedrals, Churches [both new and renovations], Chapels, public and private, retreat centers, meditation gardens, hospitals, stores, museums, libraries, and train stations. We have worked in 45 states in the USA, France, Puerto Rico, and Canada – working together with other trades and artists to achieve the custom made interiors our clients deserve. We are personally committed to working in the finest traditions, at agreed upon budgets, with delivery and installation as scheduled.
